Sometimes I need to write things down to remind myself how simple it all really is. This is one of those things. Perhaps you need to read it too.
There are certain things, that if you do them, will make you the person that you want to be.
You already know some of what those are. That doesn’t mean that you do them. But don’t fool yourself…you know them.
They’re the things that make you feel good, clear, alive.
The things you must make a practice of to be your best. To be the person that you want to be.
For me: rising early, having a morning routine, exercise to make me sweat, writing down my thoughts, tea over alcohol, putting my phone down, present time with my kids, and ending the day earlier than later.
Don’t make a practice of them and you risk becoming someone else. Someone that you don’t want to be. Maybe the same person you’ve always been.
You get to choose…
Practice and become the person you want to be. Or don’t.
The secret is the practice. And the practice is the secret.
Sometimes it’s as simple as that.
